Everton need to pull out all the stops to try and sign Frosinone winger Giorgi Kvernadze during the upcoming January transfer window.
The Toffees have joined the race for the Serie A star's signature alongside Premier League rivals Crystal Palace, with English clubs beginning to take notice of his form.
The 23-year-old has been a huge part of Frosinone's excellent start to the season, with his tally of three goals and four assists helping his side to sixth in the Italian top flight.
However, Kvernadze's long-term future with the club is far from secure, as his current contract is due to expire in the summer of 2028.
That looks set to create an opportunity for clubs to swoop in and sign him, either in January or at the end of the season.
Everton should be all over that chance, with Kvernadze proving of late that he is exactly what they need in their attack.
Giorgi Kvernadze among Serie A elites
Everton have struggled in the final third so far this season, with their tally of nine league goals among the lowest in the Premier League.
While the lack of striker depth has been a big part of that issue, David Moyes also needs more directness at his disposal in the wide areas.
With Tyler Dibling still struggling to perform, Kvernadze could be the perfect man to slot into the Toffees' XI on the wing.
He has already created a staggering 26 chances so far this season, a tally which sits him second across the entirety of Serie A in that department, and is averaging 2.8 chances created per game. What a talent he is.
That ranks him above elite names like Paulo Dybala, Kevin De Bruyne, Nico Paz and Nicolo Barella right now.
The Georgian international also possesses the electric dribbling skills that Everton have lost with Iliman Ndiaye's exit, as he is completing 3.1 successful dribbles per 90 right now.
Kvernadze's direct nature and close control could make him an ideal fit for the Premier League, and Everton need to ensure that they are the ones to pounce on him and win the race.
Everton working on Marcus Rashford loan-to-buy deal with 'wage cost shared' Everton in talks for Marcus Rashford deal
Former Everton chief executive Keith Wyness told Football Insiderlast week that Everton have "definitely" held talks internally over a move to sign Marcus Rashford from Manchester United in January.
The England international is eating up a lofty wage at Old Trafford, and could be shown the door as a result.
Wyness believes that an initial loan deal with an option to buy is the likely route for Everton to sign Rashford, with the two clubs initially splitting his wages at 50 per cent each.
The boardroom expert then outlined that he expects any purchase option to sit around the £25million mark, given that Rashford is out of contract in 2028.
