Chris Boucher is heading overseas.
The Chinese Basketball Association announced that the former Boston Celtics forward is joining the Shanghai Sharks.
The 33-year-old is reportedly replacing three-time NBA champion JaVale McGee in Shanghai and will team up with former NBA All-Star D'Angelo Russell.
Boucher went undrafted in 2017 after playing at New Mexico Junior College, Northwest College and Oregon. He started his NBA career with the Golden State Warriors, winning an NBA championship in 2018, before joining the Toronto Raptors.
Boucher's best NBA season came in 2020-21, when he averaged 13.6 points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game. He finished eighth in Sixth Man of the Year voting.
Boucher also made history with the Raptors 905 in 2018-19, becoming the first player to win both G League MVP and Defensive Player of the Year in the same season.
