The Atlanta Falcons made some big changes on special teams to kick off the legal tampering period of NFL free agency. The team has agreed to terms with kicker Nick Folk and punter Jake Bailey , according to reports from NFL Network's Tom Pelissero and ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Adding Folk and Bailey is a sign that the Falcons have moved on from punter Bradley Pinion and kicker Zane Gonzalez . Pinion had been in Atlanta for the last four years, while Gonzalez was only with the team for nine games last season.
So what are the Falcons getting in their two new special teams starters?
Folk, 41, has been in the NFL for 18 seasons. The former Pro Bowl kicker had one of the best years of his entire career in 2025, making 28 of 29 field-goal attempts and converting on all 22 extra points for the Jets . Folk has made 431 out of 507 career field-goal attempts.
Bailey, 28, was drafted by the New England Patriots in the fifth round of the 2019 NFL Draft. He made the Pro Bowl and All-Pro teams in 2020. After spending four years in New England, Bailey signed with the Miami Dolphins in 2023. Last season, Bailey averaged 47.7 yards per attempt and pinned 21 punts inside the 20-yard line.
