The Atlanta Falcons lost an edge rusher just days after adding him. The San Francisco 49ers signed Khalid Kareem off the Falcons' practice squad on Friday. This move came right after Kareem joined the team on Tuesday. The Falcons did not sit idle. They signed Bralen Trice to the practice squad to fill the empty spot.
A Quick Reunion in San Francisco
Kareem was a familiar face for Atlanta before this week. He spent parts of the past two seasons with the Falcons. Limited appearances saw him deliver valuable run defense and apply some pressure. Now he heads west to work with a coach he knows well. Kareem reunites with 49ers defensive coordinator Raheem Morris. When Morris served as the Falcons' head coach, he partnered with Kareem for two seasons. This connection matters. Players often perform better when they trust the person calling the plays.
