The Atlanta Falcons signed former New York Giants wide receiver Beaux Collins and released Kristian Wilkerson from their 90-man training camp roster on Monday.

Collins, a former undrafted free agent who played three years at Clemson and one year at Notre Dame, appeared in nine games for the Giants as a rookie before going on the injured reserve list. He recorded just two catches for 25 receiving yards.

The 23-year-old has good size at 6-foot-3, 206 pounds. During his four-year collegiate career, Collins recorded 132 for 1,780 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns. Last season at Notre Dame, he had 41 catches for 490 yards and three touchdowns.

The Falcons still have a roster spot available even though they released offensive lineman Layden Robinson and punter Matthew Hayball . Since Hayball was the team's designated international player, he did not count against the roster.
