Falcons TE coaches met with NC State prospect Justin Joly

The Atlanta Falcons have completed their prospect visits ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft, but since these visits aren't officially announced by the team, some tend to fall through the cracks.

In an interview with SI's Justin Melo , NC State tight end Justin Joly said he met with the Falcons tight end coaches before the Wolfpack pro day back in March.

"I had an in-person meeting with the Baltimore Ravens before my pro day as well," said Joly. "I also met with the tight end coaches for the Atlanta Falcons and New Orleans Saints the day before pro day."

Joly has been an effective receiving tight end, racking up 1,150 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns over the last two seasons at NC State. He spent the first two years of his college career at Connecticut. While he's an effective pass-catcher, he still needs to improve as a run-blocker.

The Falcons have Kyle Pitts under contract for one more season, and Joly could serve as a long-term replacement if Pitts departs in 2027. The NC State standout is currently ranked 129 on PFF's 2026 big board.

"Joly is a natural receiving tight end with strong hands, a high football IQ and a competitive edge," wrote PFF . "While he lacks standout athletic traits, he offers enough to project as a contributor on offense and special teams."

The Falcons have just five picks in the 2026 NFL Draft, starting in Round 2 with pick No. 48 overall. Joly could be an option on Day 3 of the draft.
