Liverpool suffered their first Champions League defeat of the campaign after throwing away two leads in a dramatic 3-2 loss to Fenerbahçe in Istanbul.
The visitors made a promising start and took the lead in the 25th minute when Trey Nyoni 's volley deflected past Ederson for his first senior goal.
However, their advantage lasted just four minutes, as Mason Greenwood 's free-kick took a deflection off Jérémy Jacquet and found the net.
Liverpool introduced Alexander Isak , Florian Wirtz and Cody Gakpo after the interval, and the changes initially paid dividends. Gakpo delivered an inviting cross in the 69th minute, allowing Isak to head home from close range and restore the visitors' lead.
Yet Fenerbahçe refused to surrender, with Archie Brown tapping in after another defensive mix-up just four minutes later.
The hosts completed their turnaround in the 79th minute when Brown delivered a cross for Vedat Muriqi , who rose above the Liverpool defence to power home the winner.
Despite enjoying more possession and registering 20 shots, Liverpool lacked the defensive discipline to protect their advantage.
The result handed Fenerbahçe their first Champions League victory of the campaign and brought Liverpool's perfect European record to an abrupt end.
