Former Brooklyn Nets guard Spencer Dinwiddie is attempting an NBA comeback after making a brief stop in the EuroLeague last year, playing for Bayern Munich. Dinwiddie only appeared in 11 EuroLeague contests before terminating his contract to deal with a family illness back in the United States.
Dinwiddie didn't appear for any NBA team last year despite signing a deal with the Charlotte Hornets before the 2025-26 season began. Charlotte opted to keep Tre Mann as their third point guard instead, waiving Dinwiddie before the season began. In a recent spree of posts on social media, Dinwiddie expressed a willingness to join the Warriors if given the opportunity.
In his last NBA season with the Mavericks, Dinwiddie was a more than serviceable backup, averaging 11 points, 4.4 assists, 2.6 rebounds and 0.9 steals while shooting 33.4% from 3-point range. A former 20-point-per-game scorer with the Nets, Dinwiddie still has a window open for an NBA return at age 33. However, it remains to be seen whether or not Golden State is interested in signing the veteran after losing Pat Spencer to the Phoenix Suns .
