Former 5-star WR set to return for Texas A&M's spring football season
Texas A&M's spring football season will begin on Friday when coach Mike Elko and his revamped coaching staff will begin integrating 17 players from the transfer portal and 26 freshmen from the 2026 signing class into a talented roster that lost more than 20 players to the portal and the 2026 NFL draft.
Of the returning players, starting quarterback Marcel Reed returns for his third season and second full year as the starter. Star wide receiver Mario Craver returns and leads a talented group that now includes former Alabama standout Isaiah Horton . On the injury front, the 2026 roster is healthy entering the spring practice window, including one highly talented playmaker
On Monday, AggieYell insider Jaxson Callaway reported redshirt freshman wide receiver Jerome Myles, a former five-star commit, is set to return to the field this spring. He was one of the best wide receiver prospects in the 2025 recruiting class, but has dealt with injury issues dating to his final high school season. He missed the entire 2025 season due to a "lower body injury."
Other names to watch include senior defensive back Bryce Anderson . After sustaining a serious head injury during last season's road win over Notre Dame, Anderson is expected to contend for the starting nickel position. In addition, offensive lineman Isendre "Papa" Ahfua, who also suffered a lower-body injury, is set to return.
