Former Clemson basketball player nails buzzer-beater in derby matchup
Jake Heidbreder ,remember that guy? The dude who jumped off the bench on February 26th, 2025, against Notre Dame , hit four three-pointers, and made consistent stints on the roster, but never had a standout performance or started for Clemson .
He committed to Fresno State roughly nine months ago, and now he's lighting it up in the Midwest region, including a recent buzzer-beater in the dying seconds of the match for the Bulldogs in a crazy, tense match ending 98-96 against the 10-12 UNLV Rebels.
In that match, Jake Heidbreder delivered a huge performance for Fresno State, finishing with 29 points in 39 minutes while shooting 9-of-14 from the field, 4-of-7 from three, and 7-of-9 at the free throw line. He added three rebounds, one assist, and two steals, and didn't commit a single turnover, anchoring the Bulldogs’ offense with efficient shot-making and steady ball control in one of his most complete scoring outings of the season.
