The Duke Blue Devils didn't send many players to the 2026 NFL Draft this year, though there are still some notable former Duke players who could make teams.
While players like Wesley Williams, Brian Parker II, and Chandler Rivers are likely to make their rosters, what about an undrafted free agent? Well, one of the Blue Devils who went undrafted just got some great news about his NFL roster status.
According to NFL insider Jordan Schultz , former Duke defensive lineman Aaron Hall has made the Carolina Panthers ' 53-man roster, in some exciting news for the ex-Blue Devil.
"Panthers undrafted rookie DT Aaron Hall, out of Duke, is making the 53-man roster, sources tell me," Schultz reports.
This is some very exciting news for the former Duke defensive tackle. After going undrafted, players might have a hard time making NFL rosters. But not Hall.
He was able to fight for a job on the Panthers' 53-man roster and won the camp and preseason battle to earn a roster spot.
During the preseason with the Panthers, Hall recorded five total tackles, three of which were solo tackles, along with a 0.5 sack.
Now that he's made the Panthers' roster, according to Schultz, he'll slot in behind Derrick Brown and Tershawn Wharton , while getting a chance alongside Elijah Garcia and Jared Harrison Hunte , depending on whether those two make the roster or not.
Schultz also shared a telling quote from one Panthers source: "He's been consistent every day and earned the right to be on this team."
This is an incredible accomplishment for Hall, as despite being an undrafted free agent at 23 years old, he's made the Panthers' roster following 22.5 tackles for loss and 8.0 sacks in five years at Duke since 2021.
Hall joins a long list of Duke players to make the NFL, and he'll now have a chance to compete for playing time on a defense that could use all the help they can get.
