- Former FSU running back has breakout game with new school

Former FSU running back Kam Davis left the Seminoles over the offseason, entering the transfer portal and joining the Liberty Flames. After a solid start to the season, he had a breakout season Thursday night, helping lead them past the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers .
Davis, making the first start of his career, ran for 166 yards on 18 carries and caught two passes for seven yards and a touchdown. It was the first 100-yard game of his career and featured a 56-yard run, the longest of his career.
He spent two years with the Seminoles, playing in 13 total games as he battled some injuries. The Albany, Georgia product would have had a tough time earning playing time for FSU had he stayed, with Ousmane Kromah and Samuel Singleton Jr. both earning bigger roles during the 2025 season.
Davis has played in all four of Liberty's games this year and is now their leading rusher with 310 yards and one touchdown on 47 carries. He also has three receptions for nine yards and another touchdown.
He was ranked as a three-star prospect by 247Sports when he entered the portal, with them ranking him as the No. 505 overall player and No. 58 running back in the country. He was a four-star prospect when he signed with FSU in 2024, ranking as the No. 98 player in the 247Sports composite.
