A former Georgia Bulldog is looking to break through with a new NFL team. Former Georgia linebacker Jamon Dumas-Johnson has signed with the Baltimore Ravens ; they announced via a press release . The Ravens waived undrafted rookie cornerback Matthew McBroom in a corresponding move.
Dumas-Johnson went undrafted in the 2025 NFL draft , signing with the Green Bay Packers . He was released on Aug. 26, 2025, via final cuts, but he was brought back onto the practice squad and even elevated to the main roster late in the regular season.
Overall, through two games, Dumas-Johnson earned 10 tackles and one pass defended. Unfortunately, he was released by the Packers before the 2026 NFL draft, on April 17, 2026.
Hopefully, former Georgia linebacker Roquan Smith can mentor him into being an everyday player for the Ravens. Baltimore also has defensive tackle John Jenkins and safety Malaki Starks , who Dumas-Johnson played with while at Georgia.
Dumas-Johnson was on the Bulldogs from 2021-23. He helped lead Georgia to back-to-back national championships in 2022 and 2023. Overall, he had 125 tackles, 17 1/2 tackles for loss, 9 1/2 sacks, a pick-six, six passes defended, and a forced fumble. He was a first-team All-American in 2022 for putting up 70 tackles, nine TFLs, four sacks, three passes defended, and a fumble.
In 2024, he entered the transfer portal instead of declaring for the 2024 NFL draft. He transferred to the Kentucky Wildcats, where he had 67 tackles, seven tackles for loss, 3 1/2 sacks, an interception, a forced fumble, and three fumble recoveries, including a scoop-and-score.
