The market for Christian Wilkins, the former Miami Dolphins star, isn't where anybody would've expected it to be a few years ago when he got a massive deal by the Las Vegas Raiders . It remains uncertain what happened with the Raiders for him to be sent home, but whatever it was, it clearly made waves around the league and has become an issue.
There are many teams around the league that could use Wilkins, including the Minnesota Vikings . The problem here is that it remains uncertain if the Vikings would even be interested in landing him after whatever happened.
FanSided's Austen Bundy thinks it could happen, and his reasoning makes a lot of sense considering what Minnesota has lost.
"The departures of DTs Javon Hargrave and Jonathan Allen will be felt in Minneapolis. Despite mediocre grades, the pair were veteran presences that will need to be filled," Bundy wrote in his article published on March 22. "Youngsters like Levi Drake Rodriguez and Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins can't be expected to pick up that slack on their own."
The losses for the Vikings are an issue, and Wilkins could potentially solve them, but there are some other sides of the story that also have to be talked about.
Of course, everything hinges on Wilkins' health. Considering he hasn't played football in quite some time, we have to worry about whether he can get on the field and even make an impact.
