Former Raiders CB Decamerion Richardson claimed off waivers by Saints
A day after the Raiders waived Decamerion Richardson from the roster, the Saint scooped him up to claim him.
The third-year cornerback had made the initial 53-man roster in Las Vegas, but was waived after the Raiders themselves put a claim in on former 49ers CB Darrell Luter.

Richardson was originally a fourth round pick (112 overall) by the Raiders in the 2024 NFL Draft out of Mississippi State. He was named a starter as a rookie, but was ultimately benched and never got his starting job back.
Last season the 6-2, 192-pounder was buried on the depth chart behind veteran addition Eric Stokes, rookie third round pick Darien Porter and journeyman Kyu Blu Kelly.
And despite a wide open battle in camp for the left outside cornerback spot, he was ultimately still the odd man out. In part because he had two new rookie draft picks ahead of him and in part because of the special teams aspect of his job of which he had his issues.
