- Former Saints, Raiders QB going from client to NFLPA-certified agent
One former New Orleans Saints quarterback is shifting gears in retirement. Nathan Peterman is working to go from being a client to an NFLPA-certified agent at Range Sports, per Irving Mejia-Hilario for Sports Business Journal . Peterman was represented by Range Sports' Kyle Strongin as a player and now he'll be working alongside his former agent.
Peterman was a fifth-round pick by the Buffalo Bills and continued his career with the Chicago Bears and Las Vegas Raiders , where he backed up Derek Carr . Peterman followed Carr to New Orleans as a free agent in 2024 but was let go during roster cuts later that summer. Peterman ended that season on the Atlanta Falcons practice squad and recently tried out for the Denver Broncos , but now he's called it a career.

He's done well for himself as a backup, earning more than $5.9 million on his contracts with five different teams over eight years. Peterman totaled just 160 pass attempts over that span, so his agent did a great job keeping him on the NFL's radar despite never getting much run as a starter. Now he's returning the favor by trying his hand at the trade.
