Former Pittsburgh Steelers defensive lineman Isaiahh Loudermilk , who missed most of the 2025 season with an injury, is signing with the Minnesota Vikings , according to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN .
Loudermilk suffered a high ankle sprain in the Steelers’ Week 2 loss to the Seattle Seahawks . He was seen on crutches and in a boot following the game and was later placed on injured reserve. Loudermilk didn’t record a statistic in 2025.
Loudermilk visited with the Detroit Lions last month but was not signed. He lands with Detroit’s NFC North foe instead in Minnesota.

Loudermilk, 28, was selected by the Steelers in the fifth round (No. 156 overall) of the 2021 NFL Draft. The team traded up to select Loudermilk and gave away a 2022 fourth-round selection to do so.
However, Loudermilk has been mostly a backup defensive lineman for the past four years in Pittsburgh, recording just 63 tackles, one sack and six passes defensed during the span.
The 2024 season was the last of his rookie contract, but he chose to re-sign with the Steelers on a one-year deal last offseason. Now he’s testing the open market once again, and it seems like his return to Pittsburgh is less likely this time around.
A native of Howard, Kansas, Loudermilk played collegiate football at Wisconsin, where he played in 40 games, starting 26 at defensive end, and racked up 62 tackles, 7.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and eight passes defensed from 2016-20.
