The Walter Camp Preseason All-American teams were unveiled on Tuesday, and four Oregon Ducks managed to crack the lists heading into the 2026 season. The Ducks are expected to be one of the best teams in the country next season, so earning multiple selections wasn't a surprise, but should they have earned even more?
Cornerback Brandon Finney Jr. and outside linebacker Teitum Tuioti both earned first-team nominations after an outstanding 2025 campaign. Both figure to be leaders again on Oregon's defense this season.
Finney turned in one of the best true freshman seasons in the country, becoming a Freshman All-American after snagging three interceptions and winning Defensive MVP at the Orange Bowl. He made 42 tackles and seven pass deflections after becoming a starter on day one and never looked back. The Ducks ' secondary is still young and improving, but Finney will undoubtedly be leading the room again this season.
Tuioti turned in his best season as a Duck in 2025, racking up career highs in tackles (68), sacks (9.5) and pass breakups (five). Along Oregon's veteran defensive line, Tuioti stands out as a well-rounded player against the run and creating pressure in the pocket. Working opposite Matayo Uiagalelei , who surprisingly did not make either All-American team, Tuioti is afforded more one-on-one pass rush opportunities and can easily wreak havoc in the backfield.
On the second team, tight end Jamari Johnson checked in and will step into a bigger role this season with the Ducks, now that Kenyon Sadiq is off to the NFL. LSU 's Trey'Dez Green beat out Johnson for the first-team selection and the top tight end rating in EA Sports College Football 27 , but Johnson is viewed by many draft experts as the best at his position moving into the season.
As the backup to Sadiq last season, Johnson made 32 catches for 510 yards and three touchdowns, truly becoming a security blanket for Dante Moore during the playoffs.
Defensive tackle A'Mauri Washington also earned a second-team selection after opting to return to the program despite significant interest from the NFL. Washington tallied 33 tackles, 15 pressures, 4.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks and eight pass breakups last season, breaking through as a starter.
He feels there is still room for his game to grow before turning pro, and he should get a chance to solidify himself as a first-round pick with a strong season in Eugene.
Uiagalelei and Moore are two surprising omissions from the All-American teams, given the expectations heading into the season. Texas ' Arch Manning and Ohio State's Julian Sayin earned the spots at quarterback over Moore, while Uiagalelei has dominated in his three seasons in Eugene.
Minnesota transfer safety Koi Perich is also a surprising absence from the list, despite being one of the top players in the transfer portal this offseason.
