- Four-star LB visiting Kentucky, not Tennessee Saturday

The 2026 Kentucky football season is starting on Saturday at Kroger Field in Lexington, and home games are always good for recruiting visits. There will be multiple prospects on hand for game one, but one of them was originally supposed to be elsewhere.
Skylar Alston was supposed to be visiting the Tenneessee Volunteers this weekend, but Collin Kennedy of 247Sports reports that he will be in Lexington instead.
Alston is a 6'2", 210 lb linebacker in the 2028 recruiting class out of North Carolina. He is currently rated four stars by 247Sports, and ranks as their No. 204 overall player in the class.
Kentucky offered Alston back in April, joining a list of schools that includes the Vols along with nearly every elite college football program. He has already taken a few unofficial visits, including a couple of trips to Tennessee, and is expected to take multiple trips this fall. He'll start in Lexington, a big win for Will Stein.
One of the goals of Stein is to upgrade the talent, and getting more four and five-star recruits is a big deal for Big Blue Nation. Alston is a major talent, and would be a terrific addition. A commitment won't likely be coming anytime soon, but building a relationship is the start, and getting him into town early in the season is good news.
