- Frostburg State falls to Concord
ATHENS, W.Va. — Frostburg State dropped its road game to Concord 41-31 Saturday.
Frostburg took its first lead of the game to start the fourth, as quarterback Jordan Brooks hit sophomore Caleb Barnes for a 15-yard touchdown to make things 31-27.
Concord went down the field in four minutes to retake the lead. A pass interference on third-and-7 put the ball at the five-yard line for Greg Burrell to find pay dirt at 34-31.
After a forcing a three-and-out and a punt, the Mountain Lions went on another drive with Devin Kargman hitting Dom Collins on a third-down conversion. Another Frostburg penalty put Concord in the red zone.
On fourth-and-1 from the 12, Kargman found Ethan Jackson for a dagger touchdown and a 41-31 lead with about four minutes left to play to set the final.
Brooks finished with 22 completions for 298 yards and a pair of scores. Tra'Shau Timmons was his favorite target, finishing with seven catches, 129 yards and a touchdown. Rainer Halveland led the defense with 14 tackles, including six tackles-for-loss, as well as 2.5 sacks and the forced fumble.
