Gabriel Gudmundsson has provided Daniel Farke with another injury headache ahead of Leeds United's clash with Tottenham Hotspur.
The Sweden international went off in the second half of Leeds' 2-0 loss away at Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon.
Gudmundsson was replaced by Sean Longstaff with 65 minutes on the clock at the Vitality Stadium.
It has since emerged Gudmundsson was brought off as a result of an injury he sustained.
The 27-year-old has started seven of Leeds' nine Premier League matches this campaign.
Any sort of layoff for the defender would therefore be a huge blow for Farke ahead of some big matches.
What's been said about Gabriel Gudmundsson's injury?
Reporting in his 'off-camera' moments piece for Leeds' official website , respected journalist Graham Smyth shared a bit more intel.
"Gudmundsson limping around the pitch after coming off, having not looked fully right following a late challenge in the first half," Smyth wrote of one such unseen moment.
Farke was not directly asked about Gudmundsson's injury after the game, but any sort of knock that forces a player off will always raise some concern.
The positive news is that Leeds have a full week's break between the Bournemouth and Tottenham games.
If the Swede is not fully over the problem, Farke will not take any risks for the clash with Spurs at Elland Road.
Daniel Farke has obvious Harry Wilson change to make at Leeds United after Bournemouth defeat What's Gabriel Gudmundsson's injury history?
Gudmundsson has not been at his best for Leeds this season , with just one assist to his name and a general lack of creativity down the left in most matches.
It must be remembered, though, that Gudmundsson sustained a hamstring injury against Liverpool in pre-season.
That forced him to miss the final stages of pre-season and the start of the Premier League campaign.
He is now back and being used regularly, but injuries have been a regular theme throughout his career.
As well as missing a few weeks in August, he also sat out a few weeks last season.
That raised concerns over his participation for Sweden in the World Cup, but he was fit enough for the summer tournament.
Going further back, he missed a few months while at Groningen in 2020-21 and likewise the season prior.
Hopefully this latest problem is nothing too serious and he is back involved in time for the visit of Spurs.
