Gavin Freeman joins Baylor after committing to Tennessee, per report
Oklahoma State wide receiver Gavin Freeman has joined Baylor after committing to Tennessee football on Jan. 10, according to a report from CBS Sports on Jan. 15.
Freeman, who was set to be a veteran target among a talented group of receiver, initially announced his commitment to the Vols on social media. He played two seasons each at Oklahoma and Oklahoma State, but took a redshirt in 2024, which gave him one season of eligibility.
Freeman has 81 career receptions for 667 yards and seven touchdowns as a receiver and kick/punt returner. Freeman is transferring after his best season. He led the Cowboys with 53 catches for 481 yards and four TDs.
The 5-foot-8, 185-pounder was a three-star recruit out of high school in Oklahoma City.
The Vols have added 10 transfers out of the portal so far, including four defensive players from Penn State – safety Dejuan Lane , defensive tackle Xavier Gilliam , linebacker Amare Campbell and edge rusher Chaz Coleman . Tennessee has also added Michian defensive back TJ Metcalf, Kansas State safety Qua Moss , LSU offensive tackle Ory Williams , Auburn cornerback Kayin Lee , Tulane edge rusher Jordan Norman and Louisville kicker Cooper Ranvier .
