There's a longstanding tradition of the Iowa Hawkeyes churning out top-tier offensive linemen, and Gennings Dunker is no exception. Gennings Dunker's Strengths
Stop me if you've heard this one before: Iowa offensive lineman with power and tenacity who can set a punishing tone for his entire unit. Dunker is the latest in a long line of such players to come out of this program, and there's a reason NFL teams keep coming here to get quality starters. Dunker packs a ton of power at the point of attack, with the pure strength and polished technique to completely erase opposing defenders in the run game. He has quick, choppy feet that anchor a strong base, and his nonstop motor is a constant headache for whoever lines up across from him, especially late in games. Dunker shows a high-level understanding of defensive fronts and tendencies, staying a step ahead of stunts and twists.

Gennings Dunker's Weaknesses
More explosive edge rushers can expose Dunker's lack of elite quickness and athleticism off the snap, forcing him into recovery mode in pass protection. His lack of ideal length could lead to questions about his ability to stay at tackle at the next level, and he has a tendency to end up on the ground too often. His hip fluidity and lateral quickness can be put to the test by more athletic defenders when he's not able to lock on and stay engaged quickly as a run blocker.
Final Analysis
There are more athletic blockers in this class, but Dunker's combination of power, effort and intelligence give him a high floor at the next level. Some teams are likely to view him as a guard prospect given his physical and athletic limitations, but in the right situation, Dunker could stick at right tackle and have a long, successful career in a power scheme.
