The Georgia Bulldogs are expecting to get a big junior season out of safety KJ Bolden . Bolden is a former elite recruit and has a significant role with the Bulldogs for both of his first two seasons at UGA.
In Bolden's sophomore season (2025), he posted 76 tackles, five pass deflections and two interceptions. All of those numbers were career highs.
The Burford, Georgia , native is looking to continue to improve. He finished the 2025 season as a second-team All-SEC pick . Bolden is one of five All-SEC players that UGA is returning in 2026. He joins running back Nate Frazier (third-team), center Drew Bobo (second-team), quarterback Gunner Stockton (third-team) and kicker Peyton Woodring (second-team). All five of Georgia's returning All-SEC players are candidates to be preseason All-Americans.
Bolden has high expectations entering 2026 and has been named as a way-too-early All-American, per On3. He's the only Georgia player to make the team.
In addition to being a potential All-American, Bolden is also expected to be a top 2027 NFL draft pick. His junior season will likely be his final year in Athens. Bolden is expected to start at safety along with Kyron Jones, Zion Branch or Clemson transfer Khalil Barnes .
