The Georgia football program is less than two months away from kicking off the 2026 college football season. The Bulldogs are looking to bounce back after losing in the Sugar Bowl for the second straight year last season, this time against Ole Miss.

Georgia is looking to rekindle some of the magic of the early 2020s, when they won two straight national championships, with the team boasting one of the best defenses in college football history during that span. Several of those players have gone on to find success in the NFL, and recently, Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team broke down some of the contracts that those players have signed so far this offseason.
"2022 Georgia defense this offseason: Travon Walker: 4-years, $110M, Jordan Davis, 3-years, $78 million, Devonte Wyatt: 3-years, $57M, Quay Walker: 3-years, $40.5M, Nakobe Dean: 3-years, $36.03M," noted Meirov on X, formerly Twitter.

Wyatt signed his deal on Monday with the Green Bay Packers, keeping him with that franchise over the long haul. He was teammates there with Walker, who has established himself as an elite linebacker at the NFL level but has since moved on to the Las Vegas Raiders.

Meanwhile, the current Georgia Bulldogs figure to once again be in the national title mix next season, although they have yet to get back over the hump since winning their last championship in January of 2023. Several NFL stars have passed through Athens under Kirby Smart's watch, including the aforementioned players, but Georgia's defense has fallen somewhat over the last couple of seasons after its historic championship heights.
In any case, the Bulldogs are set to kick off their new season on September 5 against Tennessee State.
