The Bulldogs' offense could be poised to have a big year this fall.
The biggest question for the Georgia Bulldogs heading into fall camp was whether they could identify a big-play threat at receiver or tight end to boost what was a pretty weak arsenal group in 2025. Based on multiple reports out of practice, they might have answered that question with several options.
According to CBS Sports' Brad Crawford , wide receiver Talyn Taylor is emerging as a legitimate big-play weapon during fall camp, stacking strong performances day after day. Taylor was the No. 6 wide receiver in the 2025 recruiting class and certainly has the potential to turn into a stud for Georgia's offense. The Bulldogs needed someone to step up on the outside, and Taylor appears to be doing exactly that.
On top of Taylor's emergence, another name Bulldogs fans were hoping could make a leap was Sacovie White-Helton. Benjamin Wolk of Dawgs247 referenced both Taylor and White-Helton as players who have been making defensive backs look silly during practice. White-Helton was a lesser-known recruit as a 3-star in 2024, but his development this camp is a promising sign for a receiving corps that desperately needed depth.
The most intriguing option of the bunch is true freshman tight end Kaiden Prothro, a 4-star in the 2026 class. His athletic tools make him the type of player who could emerge as a star in the SEC - not just a good tight end, but an extremely productive one.
When you already have an established veteran like Lawson Luckie at tight end, you need to get creative to find ways to get Prothro onto the field. It seems like utilizing him as a power slot could make Georgia really dangerous over the middle of the field. While he's not going to match the production of a Brock Bowers, he could have a similar level of impact in that he opens up the entire offense when they need it the most.
If the buzz holds true through the rest of fall camp, the rest of the SEC needs to pay attention. Georgia's offense struggled to create explosive plays last season, and the development of Taylor, White-Helton, and Prothro could be exactly what this unit has been missing. A Georgia offense with legitimate playmakers at every level is a terrifying proposition for the rest of the conference.
