Following a brutal road trip in Philadelphia and Tampa Bay, San Francisco is calling up top prospect Bryce Eldridge and catcher Jesús Rodríguez , sources confirmed to Alex Pavlovic and NBC Sports Bay Area.

With the roster makeover, Giants broadcaster Mike Krukow believes there could be more changes coming if San Francisco continues to struggle.

“I don’t think anybody is safe right now,” Krukow said Monday on KNBR’s “Murph & Markus” show. “I really don’t. I mean, if you think that the numbers you’re putting out now, if they’re not good numbers, you cannot justify the argument to say that I need to be in the lineup.

“However, when you do get that chance to play, then you need to perform. It’s that simple, and it applies to everybody, even a two-time Gold Glove catcher. And there just aren’t any guarantees, and that is what a shake-up is. I mean, you’re shaking things up. You have to be willing as an organization to say that it applies to everybody. I certainly feel that is what’s going on here.”

During its last six games, San Francisco averaged .208/.250/.277 as a team, which ranked second-worst in MLB, and recorded a league-worst 1.50 runs per game, nine RBI and zero home runs.

In addition, key Giants players Rafael Devers , Willy Adames and Patrick Bailey all have struggled at the plate, slashing .192/.240/.294 combined. Bailey — the two-time Gold Glove winner Krukow mentioned — is averaging .152/.221/.190 this season on his own.

“Anybody that’s not performing cannot be guaranteed playing time,” Krukow added. “And that goes across the board, regardless of how much time you have in the big leagues, regardless of how many Gold Gloves you have or regardless of how big your contract is. It applies to everybody, and believe it or not, that is healthy.”

San Francisco is looking to bring in Eldridge and Rodríguez hopefully to provide a much-needed spark to an unproductive Giants offense .

In 30 games this season with Triple-A Sacramento, Eldridge was hitting .333/.445/.518 for an OPS of .963 and recorded 22 RBI and five home runs.

Rodríguez, who was acquired from the New York Yankees at the deadline last season when the Giants traded away their former closer Camilo Doval , was averaging .330/.400/.440 and recorded 14 RBI and two home runs in 24 appearances for the Sacramento River Cats.

The Giants are back for a six-game homestand against the San Diego Padres and the Pittsburgh Pirates . If San Francisco continues to struggle offensively, expect Buster Posey and Co. to make even more roster moves to change the course of what has been a subpar season so far.
