The Giants’ outfielders celebrated their latest win in a more family-friendly way.
After the final out of San Francisco’s 6-2 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers on Tuesday night at Dodger Stadium, Giants outfielders Jung Hoo Lee, Drew Gilbert and Heliot Ramos got together and performed, in unison, a respectful bow.
Which was … quite the change from their celebration after Monday night’s win , with Harrison Bader, not Ramos, that went viral on social media. For obvious reasons.
Giants manager Tony Vitello was asked about the new celebration after the game, and while he did not see it in the moment, he was pleased to hear that his outfielders switched it up.
And it does not sound like the previous hip-thrusting celebration will be returning, either.
“There was a meeting today …” Vitello said with a chuckle. “But that was a side note, it was a fun meeting.”
If the Giants, winners of three consecutive games, continue to notch victories, their outfielders should have plenty more opportunities to workshop their celebrations.
