Malik Nabers may have avoided landing on the New York Giants ' Physically Unable to Perform list, but others weren't so lucky.
Three Giants , defensive linemen Roy Robertson-Harris and Sam Roberts, and tight end Thomas Fidone II were placed on the PUP list ahead of training camp opening at The Greenbrier next week.
Nabers' absence from the list is notable, since there were fears of his lingering knee injury bleeding into the 2026 season. The Giants' No. 1 wideout , of course, missed the final 13 games of the season after he sustained a torn ACL and meniscus against the Los Angeles Chargers .
Cam Skattebo , who returned to practice during minicamp while recovering from a season-ending injury , was also spared from the list.
The Giants open camp in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia, on July 29.
Three Giants Added to Preseason PUP List
Of the three players on the PUP list, Robertson-Harris' name is the biggest and also the least surprising. The 6-foot-7, 300-pound D-lineman tore his Achilles tendon in OTAs and is expected to miss the entire season.
Robertson-Harris has not been placed on season-ending injured reserve . The Giants are reportedly hoping he can come back at some point late in the season.
Robertson-Harris turned 33 on Thursday and had 19 solo tackles and three tackles for loss while earning a 51.8 grade from Pro Football Focus, the 92nd-best grade among 134 qualifying DTs.
Roberts, who like Robertson-Harris is also a 300-pounder, signed a one-year free agent contract with the Giants this offseason.
He had one sack and 18 tackles with the Atlanta Falcons in 2025, and had an 83 PFF grade even though he only played 102 defensive snaps last year. Roberts is recovering from an offseason surgery.
Fidone, a seventh-round pick of the Giants in 2025 who is primarily a special teamer, landed on the PUP list due to a lingering foot injury. He played seven games, and had one tackle while playing 88 special-teams snaps and 14 offensive snaps last year.
How the Preseason PUP List Works
A lot gets made of the PUP list, since if a player is placed on it during the season, it is used like injured reserve.
But every season significant players start the year on the active-PUP list then quietly come off and return to practice. That's because a player can be placed on the PUP list then be immediately removed at any point during training camp.
Players on the PUP list may not formally participate in practice, but they can be involved in meetings and side work.
Players on the PUP list count against the 90-man roster, and they can be moved to the reserve-PUP list during roster cutdowns. If they land on the reserve-PUP list, they will not count against the team's 53-man roster but will not be eligible for the first four games.
