New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers is having a great season in his first year returning from a torn ACL.
That injury didn't slow Nabers down, as he's proving to be one of the best wide receivers in football. Nabers has been named the NFC Offensive Player of the Month in October for his exceptional play.
In October, he had 36 receptions for 509 yards and two touchdowns. He was an elite weapon for the Giants' offense despite a change at quarterback.
Nabers has consistently performed at an elite level for New York since they selected him with the sixth overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. In his rookie season in 2024, he had 109 receptions for 1,204 yards and seven touchdowns.
In the 2025 season, Nabers only appeared in four games before suffering a torn ACL, but caught 18 passes for 271 yards and two touchdowns.
In 2026, Nabers could post career numbers, as he has 48 receptions for 605 yards and two touchdowns. He is an elite route-runner and has proven he can handle a high volume of targets each game.

The Giants will also continue to rely on tight end Isaiah Likely, who has 41 receptions for 395 yards and five touchdowns. He has been a solid free-agent addition and is contributing as the second-best pass-catcher on the roster behind Nabers.
Nabers will look to continue building chemistry with quarterback J.J. McCarthy, whom New York acquired in October. McCarthy has appeared in three games for the Giants, starting in one, completing 63.3 percent of his passes for 495 yards, a touchdown, and an interception.
The 23-year-old will play a pivotal role for New York, as they currently lead the NFC East and are looking to make it into the postseason in their first year under head coach John Harbaugh.
McCarthy was the 10th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft by the Minnesota Vikings , but he didn't play well there, leading to the Vikings moving on from him.
He has shown some flashes of his talent in his first couple of games in New York. If he continues to progress and form a strong connection with Nabers, it will help the Giants contend for their first division title since the 2011 season.
Nabers will look to continue his strong season, and if he performs as he did in October for the rest of the season, he could become a contender to win the Offensive Player of the Year Award.
