Mohya has been a star of this Gladbach side in 2026/27, having featured in all nine matches across all competitions this season, while registering a goal and assist in the Foals' Matchday 7 victory over VfB Stuttgart, their first win of the season.
Praising Mohya's performance against Stuttgart, Head of Sport Rouven Schröder said: "The way he dribbles forward, the audacity with which he sets up the goal … Hats off! […] very happy that Wael showed what he's capable of."
Gladbach head coach Alexander Blessin also praised the club's rising star. "He's a very young guy who's open and laughs, he doesn't care too much about pressure," expressed Blessin, who lauded Mohya's attacking abilities. "His ability to relieve pressure in one-on-one situations is crucial."
Gladbach will look to make it three straight wins when they host newly promoted Paderborn on 31 October.
