It's time to mark your calendars. With the NBA schedule officially unveiled, Warriors Wire is breaking down the Golden State Warriors' 2026-27 regular-season schedule, highlighting some of the top matchups and interesting games on the calendar for the upcoming campaign.
After playing four times last season, the Warriors will once again have to get familiar with Victor Wembanyama and the defending Western Conference champion San Antonio Spurs . The Warriors drew the Spurs last season in the NBA Cup and will meet again in the NBA's in-season tournament. The Warriors are grouped with the Spurs, Portland Trail Blazers , Los Angeles Lakers and Sacramento Kings . The Warriors and Spurs will meet for the first time in West Group C on Nov. 13 in San Antonio. The Friday night contest on Amazon Prime Video will be the first of three meetings between the Warriors and Spurs.
The Warriors will host Wembanyama, De'Aaron Fox, Dylan Harper and Stephon Castle twice at Chase Center, starting with a game on Jan. 30 and another just two days later on Feb. 1.
The Warriors played the Spurs four times last season, splitting the series with the Warriors winning a pair of battles in San Antonio, including a one-point comeback win, 109-108. Steph Curry dropped 49 points, including the game-winning free throws. In the first two games against the Spurs, Curry caught fire for 46 points and 49 points.
In their final two games against the Spurs in the Bay Area, Curry was injured and did not play. Without Curry, the Warriors suffered two double-digit losses, evening the regular-season series with the Spurs.
While the Warriors' season ended in the play-in tournament, the Spurs went on to take out the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference Finals, punching a ticket to the NBA Finals against the New York Knicks. While the Spurs fell against the Knicks in the NBA Finals, they'll likely be a favorite in the Western Conference behind Wembanyama again.
