It may not be the best time to be a Milwaukee Bucks
fan, considering the series of events that have taken place over the last year or so. Amid uncertainty over Giannis Antetokounmpo
's future with the franchise, reports now confirm that Doc Rivers
has departed as the head coach.
The news comes only a few days after ESPN's Shams Charania reported
about a fractured relationship between Giannis and the Bucks. However, the biggest talking point was the team meeting in which Rivers apparently boasted about his coaching career.

According to the ESPN Insider, Rivers had the following to say after the blowout loss to the Chicago Bulls
on March 1st.
"I took teams to the playoffs and to the championship that weren't supposed to. I thought this was one of them. Either you're with us or against us. If you're not playing hard, we're not playing you anymore. I know everything that goes on in this building,"
Charania quoted Rivers, who rubbed a large part of the locker room with his statements.
The Top 15 NBA coach of all time denied any such claims, even taking a brutal jab at Charania over his "toxic" Bucks rumors
. That said, his departure as Milwaukee's coach has only added more fuel to the situation. Sharing his thoughts on recent events, Charles Barkley strongly criticized the Bucks locker room for breaking an age-old code.

A "punk a— move"
Returning from a fun-filled edition of March Madness, the Inside the NBA crew now braced itself for the most exciting part of the NBA calendar. Nonetheless, the panel did address some recent developments, among them was Rivers stepping down as head coach.
Not holding back, Charles had a strong message for the Bucks locker room.

"They got some punks in that damn Milwaukee locker room. You know the locker room is sacred. When you leak what happens in team meetings, you're a punk,"
stated
Chuck, reminding co-panelist Kenny Smith about countless incidents of players and coaches fighting behind the scenes.
"Players and coaches get into it all the time because it's an emotional game. But for media and to know exactly what happens in meetings, that's just a punk a— move in my opinion,"
added Barkley.
The emerging Thomas angle
Talking about the exchange of information between the locker room and the media, some recent reports have hinted that ex-Bucks Cam Thomas
served as a common link.

In a recent episode of Fan Duel's "Run It Back" show, Rivers hit back at Charania's report, taking a dig at his inaccuracies. Clarifying the "Google me" incident reportedly involving him and the Bucks players, the veteran coach had the following to say.
"I wouldn't say anything about the meeting because it's no one's business … when you have articles, there's always ONE guy talking, which is pretty obvious if you read the article WHO it is. The quote was taken out of context. I had a guy that kept talking about his stats, and I was basically saying the same thing, 'I have stats too,'"
mentioned
Rivers.
Though there was no mention of Thomas anywhere, social media was quick to speculate, with most trying to connect the dots with the happenings over the last couple of weeks. Among them was Cam being waived after just 18 games, with Doc telling the media how certain things they did not need to discuss
when asked about what went wrong.

Nevertheless, the Bucks management has bigger matters to tend to heading into the off-season. The lack of clarity around the Greek Freak remains at the crux of everything.
