Grading Tennessee Titans pick of Pat Coogan at No. 194 in NFL draft
The Tennessee Titans added a second offensive lineman in Day 3 of the 2026 NFL Draft, drafting Indiana center Pat Coogan with the No. 194 overall pick in the sixth round on April 25.
Rare does an offensive lineman earn bowl MVP honors, but Coogan was named the Rose Bowl Offensive MVP as the Hoosiers steamrolled Alabama. Coogan was the tone setter for IU's offensive line throughout its national championship season.
Coogan was a two-year starter at Notre Dame (one at guard, one at center) before transferring to Indiana in 2025.
Coogan's athletic profile is limited, likely keeping him as a center only as a pro. But if he excels, he could help the Titans offensive line that doesn't have a long-term plan at center.
Here's how the Tennessean grades the Titans' second sixth-round pick:

Why?Coogan does a lot of good things, and was the leader for the Hoosiers' offensive line en route to a national title last season. His athletic limitations are what they are, but I get having belief that Coogan will make it work. In the sixth round, this a fine use of a draft pick. Can he deal with NFL athleticism?
