Stephen Curry is incomparable. He is regarded as 1-of-1. However, Duncan Robinson might just come close, at least on one specific area.
Robinson is nowhere near the Golden State Warriors star's legacy. He is a 2018 undrafted player out of Michigan Wolverines where he spent three seasons. Getting undrafted did not stop him from reaching his dream.
He was signed to a Summer League contract by the Miami Heat and after impressing by averaging 12.5 points in five games, he was signed to a two-way contract. He was able to carve a role with the Heat since then.
He played just 15 games in his rookie year. He had his best scoring season in just his sophomore year when he averaged 13.5 points in 73 games. He already got the starting spot at this point.
Robinson was among the reliable players the team had during their 2020 and 2023 NBA Finals run. The Heat reached the NBA Finals six years ago but lost to the Los Angeles Lakers. They returned to the last dance in 2023 as an eighth seed although they lost to the Denver Nuggets.
He was integral in both run and by his seventh year in the league, he was able to earn $89.9 million already .
The 30-year-old three point shooter currently plays for the Detroit Pistons and was integral during the team's campaign to the no. 1 seed and in the playoffs.

Robinson rose from being unwanted in the 2018 draft and he is now regarded as among the best shooters in the league, just like Curry who is the all-time leader in made three point shots.
Robinson's former Heat teammate Max Strus thought they are similar because of how good he is at doing his job as a three-point threat .
"Duncan's got it… one of the best I've ever seen. I think he's up there with Steph Curry to be honest with you. phenomenal," Strus said during a guesting on the Link with JB podcast.
Strus, currently with the Los Angeles Clippers, also discussed how Robinson helped him during their time together.

Just like Robinson, Strus went undrafted in 2019. They both had their best time wearing the Heat uniform.
