Tom Brady's schedule includes football, television, and enough endorsement work to keep a small agency busy. Apparently, at least one NFL coach would be delighted if he kept every appointment.
Mike Florio shared that perspective while discussing Brady's involvement with the Las Vegas Raiders. The executive drawing competitive concern in that conversation was Atlanta Falcons president of football Matt Ryan, whose calendar has one clear priority.

Mike Florio Explains Why Matt Ryan Has NFL Competitors Watching
During "PFT Live," Florio described hearing complaints around the league about Brady's dual responsibilities as a Raiders minority owner and Fox broadcaster. One coach, however, offered a different reaction.
"But I did hear from one coach who said, 'Hey, hey, quit, quit complaining about Brady. We like this. Brady's spread too thin,'" Florio said
.
Florio acknowledged that the Raiders' 3–1 start challenged that theory in the short term. Still, the conversation raised a question about how much attention Brady can devote to the franchise while maintaining his other commitments.

The show's accompanying post described "a greater worry that Matt Ryan is going to make a real difference for the Falcons, because he's all-in," the account wrote
.
Florio connected that concern to the mental demands of playing quarterback. Learning an organization, recognizing gaps in your knowledge and working through problems every day, he argued, allows a former quarterback to apply those habits in a different job.

Ryan has committed himself to that process in Atlanta, according to Florio.
"He's getting himself fully immersed," Florio said

The distinction matters. Florio was relaying an unnamed coach's assessment and offering his own analysis of Ryan's approach. Four games provide an early impression of these front-office arrangements, with plenty of football left to test either theory.

Matt Ryan's Full-Time Commitment Comes As Atlanta Finds Its Footing
The Falcons hired Ryan as president of football on Jan. 10, giving him oversight of football operations and placing the head coach and general manager under him. He subsequently left his analyst role on CBS' "The NFL Today."

Florio argued that Ryan could have kept a weekend studio assignment while working for Atlanta during the week. Ryan chose to devote his attention to the team.
The Falcons' recent results have given that commitment a promising backdrop. Their 45–24 win over the New Orleans Saints
on Monday moved Atlanta to 2–2 and delivered a second consecutive victory.
Following Week 4, Atlanta ranks 15th in PFN's Offense Impact Metric
with a 76.0 grade. The Raiders were 10th at 78.3, another reason to hold off on declaring Brady's crowded schedule a competitive disadvantage.
Ryan's daily involvement is what interests Florio. Atlanta hired him to make decisions that shape the franchise well beyond one Monday night. If those decisions keep producing wins, the people watching his work around the league will have considerably more to worry about.
