Green Bay Packers 2026 NFL Draft: CFN College Football Take on Every Pick

Remember, the Packers have Micah Parsons .

They gave away a first round pick to Dallas as part of the deal to get the pass-rushing star, and it was worth it - this first round was meh.

The first pick wasn't until late in the second round, there were only three picks before the wasteland that is late Saturday, and they did what they could.

And no, no one in this draft is better than 1 - even if he's banged up.

Packers Draft Quick Hits

  • Best Value:  Dani Dennis-Sutton , EDGE Penn State

  • Biggest Need: Offensive Line

  • Missed: Offensive Linemen

  • Big Call: Dennis-Sutton will be a factor

What They Got Right

They let the value come to them. They needed a corner, and South Carolina's Brandon Cisse fell in their lap. They needed more pass rushing help, and Dani Dennis-Sutton was right there in the fourth.

No, late round picks don't work, but getting a kicker usually does - Florida's Trey Smack is a worthwhile get.

What They Missed

Offensive linemen. There has to be some sort of a free agent plan, because they didn't do anything for the front five other than center Jagen Burton from Kentucky in the fifth.

Best Value Pick

Dani Dennis-Sutton, EDGE Penn State
He's not nearly as good as that other Penn State pass rusher on the Green Bay roster, but he's got a great motor, he keeps fighting, and he should stick as a fourth rounder.

Biggest Reach

Jager Burton, C KentuckyThere aren't any reaches in this draft, considering almost everyone was selected on Day 3. Burton isn't exactly a reach, but the Packers had more pressing needs, and they took him with plenty of good corners available.

CFN Draft Grade

Grade: BIt's on a curve. Again, the Packers didn't have a first round pick, and they did a decent job of grabbing options when they could, even if it'll be tough for most to survive the first wave of cuts.

Green Bay Draft Class

Round 2, (52): Brandon Cisse, CB South Carolina
They needed CB help, and they caught a break when he dropped. He’s what they need.

Round 3, (77): Chris McClellan, DT Missouri

Not a need, but he’s a wonderful value pick early in the third round. He’ll be a factor.

Round 4, (120): Dani Dennis-Sutton, EDGE Penn State

Absolutely fantastic get, he might not be all that flashy, but he’s a bust-butt playmaker.

Round 5, (153): Jager Burton, C Kentucky

A reach considering how many centers were around, the Packers needed to go tackle here.

Round 6, (201): Domani Jackson , CB Alabama

Great value, he’s a solid Alabama corner who went a round later than he should’ve.

Round 6, (216): Trey Smack, PK Florida

Absolutely. This is when you take top kicker prospects. They almost always stick.
