- Green Bay Packers: Matt LaFleur breaks silence on 3 newest allegations against RB Josh Jacobs
The Green Bay Packers are 5-3, but due to the competitiveness of the rest of the teams in their division, currently sit in last place in the NFC North. Of course, there are nine more games left to play and plenty of time to make up ground. However, they are already 1-2 against the rest of the North, and need to play better in their upcoming matchups.
This is particularly true on offense. While Jordan Love is putting up great numbers in the passing game, Green Bay's rushing offense is the worst in the NFL with 60.6 rushing yards per game.
Even the return of Josh Jacobs from the commissioner's exempt list has not helped.

Jacobs, as fans are all too aware, was on the exempt list while the NFL investigated the criminal charges against him for domestic violence. The Packers running back pleaded no contest to these charges back in September, but the league's own investigation into the accusations is still ongoing.
Still, Jacobs was allowed to return to the team after six games. Unfortunately, he has done little to improve the run game, which averages an NFL-low 60.6 rushing yards per contest. Simply put, Green Bay will be hard-pressed making any kind of postseason run without a run game.
Aside from the football aspect of it, though, there are grave concerns among fans as to why the team is so willing to keep Jacobs on the roster. This became even more true over the weekend when it was revealed that three other women accused the Packers running back of violence in the past.
On Monday, head coach Matt LaFleur stated that he does not anticipate these newly uncovered allegations to affect Jacobs' standing on the roster:
LaFleur also mentioned he had a conversation with his running back about his handcuffs touchdown celebration, which rubbed many fans the wrong way. He would not go into details about their conversation, saying it would remain private.
Allegations aside, Jacobs has done very little to help the Packers since returning to the field. He is averaging just 2.3 yards per carry in his two games, which has forced Green Bay to be just as one-dimensional on offense as they were before.
