Jack Grealish should be fined by both Manchester City and Everton after missing games due to breaches of discipline.
That is the opinion of former senior Everton scout, Bryan King, speaking exclusively to Football Insider.
The 31-year-old has been missing for the Toffees since last month's game against Chelsea, first through illness before he was dropped for reportedly missing training.
Grealish is said to have been on two nights out drinking in the build-up to the incident, raising concerns over his commitment to Everton.
The winger returned to the club on loan from Man City in the summer transfer window, having looked to rediscover some of his love for football last season.
Grealish was declared not match fit for Monday's trip to Newcastle United, but David Moyes has confirmed that there is a way back into his team.
Jack Grealish needs to 'sort himself out'
It remains to be seen whether Grealish will return to the Everton squad against Coventry City on Friday.
Moyes has certainly left the door open, but he will need to see commitment and effort from the winger.
"Jack, he really has got to sort himself out," King told Football Insider."To be fair, he's on loan at Everton still. So, if there's anything about anything in football, Manchester City should fine him for a start and Everton should certainly fine him.
"But Everton are going to be the ones who've lost out on him not playing. Everton are currently his employers. So, I don't suppose there'd be a double fine.
"But for me, that's what should happen if he's going to learn a lesson. This is a red card offence. Going missing in an important period for the football club. Grow up, Jack. You're far better than this, mate."
Everton stars 'unhappy' with Jack Grealish after 'unforgivable' training ground incident - expert What did David Moyes say?
When Grealish is at the top of his game, there are few better players Everton could hope to add into their front line.
The winger can single-handedly flip a game on its head, and has done in the past for the Toffees.
But when he is out of the team and clearly demotivated, he will be no good at all to Moyes.
"He's unavailable at the moment and we will make a decision with the club when we think that availability comes back," the Scot said on Monday.
"Of course there is," he added, when asked if there was a way back for Grealish.
