According to On3's Pete Nakos , Bowens will miss the matchup, and the running back's status beyond this week is also uncertain.
"Georgia running back Chauncey Bowens will miss Saturday's game against Auburn, and his status moving forward is in doubt," On3 reported. "Bowens suffered a lower-body injury during the Vanderbilt game. A return timetable is unclear at this time."
Bowens' absence removes one of Georgia's primary short-yardage options from its lineup. He has rushed for 124 yards and six touchdowns this season after recording 526 yards and six scores on 103 carries in 2025.

Bowens ranks second in rushing yards among Bulldogs players this season, but his seven touchdowns from scrimmage lead fellow rusher Nate Frazier's five.
Head coach Kirby Smart had already acknowledged the toll injuries have taken on Georgia following the Alabama game.
"We're a beat-up football team right now, guys," Smart said. "We've got guys out left and right."
