Hansi Flick was full of praise for his Barcelona players after an outstanding 5-0 victory over Valencia at Mestalla.
The Catalans ran riot against Carlos Corberan's men, with Lamine Yamal scoring a brace and Pedri, Raphinha and Fermin also ending up on the scoresheet.
As quoted by Mundo Deportivo , Flick felt Barça controlled the game from the beginning.
"It was a fantastic match, controlled from the start. We dominated and that's what I want to see. I'm not surprised by what we did because it's the quality with which you train,"he said.
"It was an almost perfect match. You have to control the game and attack the spaces to try to score. That's what we tried."
Lamine had trained separately the previous day but convinced Flick he was ready.
"Yesterday he trained separately from the group, but this morning we spoke and he told me he could play. He was involved in the pressing and defending, very connected and that's very good,"he said.
Lamine Yamal scored a brace against Valencia.
Rodri received even stronger praise, with Flick also explaining how his arrival could benefit Marc Bernal.
"Everything Rodri does makes sense. It's exciting. Not only on the pitch, but also in the dressing room. He's a real leader and Marc Bernal is also doing a good job. He will get opportunities and he will improve more and more thanks to this signing,"Flick explained.
Fermin's performance also pleased Flick, although the coach still identified room for improvement.
"We see what kind of player he is with what he does close to and outside the box. He always presses, he does well with and without the ball, he scores goals. His strength is the intensity, but he makes some mistakes, although he's doing fantastically,"he said.
Olmo, meanwhile, responded to starting on the bench by providing two assists.
"There are many players who can play and I have to manage this. It's not easy for a player to be a substitute, but in football everything can change."
"I'm happy for Dani, for how he came off the bench. He's very intelligent. We always try to make the best decisions for the team,"he said of the 28-year-old.
Despite scoring 17 goals in four league matches without a conventional No. 9, Flick insisted Barça 's plans have not changed.
"It doesn't change our idea. We need a No.9. I'm happy because Pedri has also scored. Everyone who plays on the pitch can score goals. We take advantage of the spaces and wait to score,"he said.
Fermin delivered a MOTM performance against Valencia.
Even after the 5-0 victory, Flick wants greater game management.
"I don't know if it's necessary to say it after a 0-5, but we can always do better and we have to try to control the game better with more passes. There are many games and you always have to control the energy,"he concluded.
Flick has always been relentless in his desire for his team to improve. He is in his third season at the Catalan club.
