The Washington Commanders stayed right where they were at the No. 7 overall pick in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft on Thursday night and got an impact player.
Ohio State linebacker Sonny Styles is coming to the nation's capital and should be an every-snap star from day one.
The Commanders now have the chance to do something cool in day two or three of the draft -- they could draft Styles' brother.
Lorenzo Styles Jr. played safety at Ohio State with his brother.

Lorenzo actually began his college career at Notre Dame as a wide receiver, but when he transferred to the Buckeyes, he shifted to defense.
He also returns kicks, so that's a piece of versatility in his back pocket.
Buckeyes Wire projects that Lorenzo will go anywhere from the sixth round to the seventh round to undrafted free agency. It wouldn't be a major cost for the Commanders, and it'd come with the cool reward of keeping these brothers together.

There's not a lot of downside to such a late pick, and there does seem to be upside.
Lorenzo had a 100-yard kickoff return for a touchdown this season -- that's explosiveness.
And it's not fake, either -- he ran the 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine in a ridiculous 4.27 seconds.
Sonny was a Combine freak, and his brother Lorenzo is smaller and showed that the athleticism runs in the family.
It's definitely a move worth considering for the Commanders as the NFL Draft rolls on.
