Hornets' Brandon Miller Lands on Top 100 NBA Countdown List

With the Charlotte Hornets trading away star LaMelo Ball this offseason, that means forward Brandon Miller is now the face of the franchise.
The former No. 2 overall draft pick will be called upon to step up more this coming season, leading this organization into a new era. Miller has all the skills that a team would want from a top guy, but he will need to hone in on his abilities.

Miller will be entering his fourth season in the NBA, and he's shown some real promise so far. But ahead of the season start, Miller has made a countdown list from the league.
The NBA released its top plays from the 2025-26 season, leading into the new year. An explosive dunk against the Atlanta Hawks has made the cut, coming in ranked at No. 60.
Miller doesn't need to wow fans each and every game, but simply start to put more of a consistent performance together this year. The forward will be tasked with more responsibility without Ball on the roster, hoping to get the Hornets back to the playoffs .

But nobody really knows what to expect from this Charlotte team this coming season. Not even Miller knows if they will be good or not, but he's ready for the opportunity to lead the group.
"Do I know if we are going to be good or great?" Miller said . "I know we are going to be a hard-working team. It's not about who makes the most shots. It's about who can play consistently at 110% every night. I think that's one thing we are going to take pride in."
Charlotte hasn't actually made the playoffs since the 2015-16 season. But Miller is determined to end this long drought this coming season.
The Hornets have reached the NBA Play-In Tournament a few times, but they have fallen short in the games. Miller has the drive and attitude needed to lead this team, and he will do whatever he can to end the playoff misses.

"Every loss drives me," Miller said. "I'm not a guy that takes losing well. Any games we lose, I would be looking for that one again."
Last season, Miller put up 20.2 points, 4.9 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 1.0 steals over 65 games played. Without Ball on the roster , Miller's numbers could increase even more, and they will have to if this group wants to compete.
With the Eastern Conference being weak at the bottom, the Horbets may have a chance to sneak into the field. But this will take a consistent effort all season long, from the opening jump of the year.
