Houston Texans select linebacker Aiden Fisher with the 243rd pick
The Houston Texans have made their final pick of the 2025 NFL Draft. Linebacker Aiden Fisher from Indiana is Houston’s seventh and final selection of the class. He is the second LB picked by Houston and will be heading to a loaded positional group.
The team captain of the national champion Indiana Hoosiers followed head coach Curt Cignetti from James Madison. That move paid off as he compiled over 200 tackles in two seasons at Indiana. Fisher earned Third-team Associated Press All-American. First-team All-Big Ten honors in 2025. He’s a stalwart run defender and a true green dot LB. His play recognition and leadership led the Indiana defense and was a key part of their championship run.
The big cons for Fisher are his athletic limitations, pass protection issues, and overall physique to win at the next level. However, from a special teams perspective he’s a great asset. The question is, can he break into a crowded linebacker room? Currently, the depth chart reads: Azeez Al-Shaair, Henry To’0To’o, E.J. Speed, Jake Hansen, Wade Woodaz, Jake Hummel, Jamal Hill, and Aiden Fisher. That’s eight linebackers for a maximum five spots.
