Carolina has established itself as one of the league's premier juggernauts, pacing the Metropolitan Division with a 12-2-2 record. The Hurricanes ' offense has been elite, ranking 2nd in the NHL with 63 goals in 16 contests (3.94 per game).
They're coming off an explosive 7-0 victory over the Jets . Away from home, Carolina has shown an ability to turn contests into track meets, including recent road fixtures that yielded a 6–3 win in Vancouver and an 11-goal, 6-5 shootout thriller in Edmonton.
While the Predators have posted a modest 5-4-5 mark under head coach Andrew Brunette, their home fixtures in Nashville have evolved into high-scoring affairs. Despite sitting 23rd in overall season scoring with 41 goals, Nashville's offense has surged over the past two weeks, fueled in part by navigating the 2nd-toughest strength of schedule in the league (0.34 SOS).
The Predators have scored 18 goals over their last four games (4.50 goals per game), and each of those four consecutive home matchups has cleared 6.5 total goals:
5–4 shootout win vs. Tampa Bay Lightning (9 total goals)
4–3 loss vs. Washington Capitals (7 total goals)
4–3 shootout loss vs. New York Islanders (7 total goals)
6–2 victory vs. Colorado Avalanche (8 total goals)
Nashville is surrendering ample high-danger chances and goals on home ice, which spells trouble against a Carolina offensive attack converting at a league-leading clip.
With Nashville's current offensive rhythm and Carolina's top-tier goal-scoring output, Action PRO Game Projections see substantial value in the game total, projecting 6.64 goals, clearing the 6.5 line and aligning with market expectations.
Nashville's last four games at Bridgestone Arena have averaged 7.75 combined goals per contest, and they now face a Carolina attack averaging nearly four goals per game that just hung seven on Winnipeg. Expect plenty of offensive fireworks and back the over tonight.
Best Bet: Over 6.5 (+105, DraftKings )
