Logan George is an Ohio State transfer originally from Idaho. | Dan Raley
If Logan George turned up in a movie, it would be High Plains Drifter or Dirty Harry.
He has that rugged look about him, doesn't offer a whole lots of words, but most of all he has that squint.
That Clint Eastwood squint.

His eyes narrow into tiny slits.
One gets the distinct impression that people understand this edge rusher who originally hails sfrom Idaho has this dangerous side to him, but he really hasn't been able to put it all on full display as of yet.
Make my day.
"I feel like I'm pretty quick so I'm able to attack the point," George said on Monday. "I'm really strong. I make the offensive lineman make a decision and I'm able to bend the corner and power though it."
After playing two seasons for his hometown Idaho State, following a two-year Mormon mission in Chicago , and this after a brief stop at Utah State, the 6-foot-4, 260-pound George decided to go mainstream.

Ohio State took him on because it previously had pulled edge rusher Tommy Togiai out of the same region in Idaho and got a lot of production from the other guy before Togiai ended up in the NFL and is now with the Houston Texans .
Unfortunately for George, he suffered a serious lower-leg injury during his first week of fall camp with the Buckeyes, appeared in just two games thereafter and couldn't get healthy enough to make a lasting impact.

When Ohio State played in Husky Stadium last fall, he was in uniform but never budged from the sideline.
"I tried to come back and couldn't get it fixed," George said.

So he jumped into the transfer portal for the second time in two years, knew UW defensive-line coach Jason Kaufusi in advance, and cast his lot with the Huskies.

Currently, he's considered a back-up edge, same as freshman sensation Ramzak Fruean and second-year player Devin Hyde. Each is a possible replacement should projected starter Isaiah Ward be unable to overcome the nagging injuries that have plagued him throughout his time in Montlake.
He's one of five Huskies who began at the FCS level in the Big Sky, joining linebacker Xe'ree Alexander (Idaho), safety Alex McLaughlin (Northern Arizona), defensive tackle DeSean Watts (Sacramento State) and punter Hunter Greene (Northern Colorado) in their career paths.

"Xe'ree is a good friend," George said. "We're able to relate in that we started in the Big Sky."
Again, George has this threatening side to him as shown in spring ball when he angered Drew Azzopardi to the point the UW senior offensive tackle threw a roundhouse punch at him while both of them were still wearing helmets.
The newcomer with that perpetual squint must have said or done something to create a stir.
