Ibrahim Sangare has penned a new three-year contract with Nottingham Forest .
The Ivorian midfielder enjoyed his strongest season yet last term, becoming an ever-present in midfield despite the chaos off the pitch.
His emergence made the blow of losing Elliot Anderson this summer more bearable, especially with incoming midfield additions to assist the 28-year-old.
Specifically, Xaver Schlager signed on a free transfer, while the club continue to pursue Lucas Bergvall .
Sangare's current deal had been due to expire in 2028, and plenty of interest had been shown in him, meaning that news of his new deal will be warmly welcomed on Trentside.
Sangare is yet to feature in pre-season, having only just returned from holiday after his World Cup involvement with Côte d'Ivoire, but looks poised to play a significant role under new boss Oliver Glasner .

Speaking after news of his new deal was confirmed, Sangare revealed his excitement to work under the Austrian.
"I'm delighted to sign the new contract," he said. "It's a good moment too for me to thank the fans. Last season wasn't always easy, but they were always with us and I have always felt their support.
Sangare has now spent three years at the City Ground and believes the club has become an important part of his life.
"It's been three years here and it has become a family for me in that time. I feel good, I have learned a lot, and worked hard to get to this point. I'm really looking forward to working with the new coach and for the season to start."
The extension gives Glasner a proven Premier League midfielder around whom he can begin building his side. With Anderson gone and further recruitment still being pursued, keeping Sangare provides some continuity during another period of transition.
Chief Football Officer, George Syrianos, also offered his thoughts on the news.
" Ibrahim arrived here with experience of playing at the highest level in Europe, and has continued to develop both on and off the pitch," he said.
"Ibra plays an important role in the team, he has the respect of his teammates and having been here for three years, he has a good understanding of what it means to represent Nottingham Forest .
"We are all delighted he has signed a new deal. It's a reward for his ongoing influence on the pitch, for his quality, and I know he shares our ambition to make sure this Club continues to move forward."
