Monique Billings was part of the Golden State Valkyries' roster in their inaugural season in 2025. However, she left the team during the 2026 free agency period and signed with the Indiana Fever in April.
Over six months later, the Valkyries won the WNBA championship. Golden State defeated the Atlanta Dream in Game 7 on Saturday, becoming the fastest expansion franchise to win a title.
