Inter Miami To Sign MLS Goalkeeper of the Year: Report
The rich are getting richer. According to a report from The Athletic , 2025 MLS Cup champions Inter Miami are reportedly nearing a deal to sign goalkeeper Dayne St. Clair .
The Canadian international previously spent six seasons with Minnesota United FC . He made 159 total appearances for the Loons across all competitions during his time at the club.
St. Clair led MLS goalkeepers with a 77.93 save percentage in 2025. The 28-year-old recorded career highs in saves (113) and shutouts (10). He was named the 2025 MLS Goalkeeper of the Year.
Fresh off a 3-1 MLS Cup victory over the Vancouver Whitecaps , Inter Miami has strengthened its squad early into the offseason.
Inter Miami To Enter 2026 With Bolstered Goalkeeping and Younger Backline
In addition to the expected arrival of St. Clair, the Herons added left-back Sergio Reguilon and are reportedly set to acquire right-back Facundo Mura .
That said, Inter Miami lost the experience of former Spanish national team internationals Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets as the pair retired following the 2025 MLS Cup final.
The club announced on Wednesday that veteran striker Luis Suarez has agreed to a new contract that will run through the 2026 season. Inter Miami recently completed the permanent transfer of midfielder Rodrigo De Paul from Atletico Madrid .
With one designated player spot still open, Inter Miami are able to reinforce an already loaded squad with a major addition.
With Lionel Messi , Suarez, De Paul and now St. Clair set to join them, Inter Miami is in fine shape to defend its MLS Cup title.
