- Inter Miami star hints at Casemiro’s imminent arrival after early Manchester United exit
Having left Manchester United with one game still to go , allowing him to wave farewell to the Red Devils’ faithful following a 3-2 home win against Nottingham Forest, which ensured they would finish the season in third, Casemiro is now on the lookout for a new home.
The 34-year-old Brazilian international, who was recently included in Carlo Ancelotti’s final roster for the upcoming FIFA World Cup in the U.S., Mexico, and Canada, has been heavily linked with a move to the MLS.
While LA Galaxy possesses Casemiro’s Discovery Rights, it appears that David Beckham’s Inter Miami is leading the way to secure his signature, as per ESPN . In fact, a deal is already said to be in the works between the two sides for a post-World Cup arrival.

While Miami is, naturally, keeping its cards close to its chest, having yet to make any formal announcements regarding the rumors, midfielder Telasco Segovia appeared to let slip that Casemiro may well be joining them soon during a recent press conference.
“I know Casemiro is coming. He's a great player,” he said. “If that's the case, he is more than welcome. I hope he contributes a lot to the team, I believe he will give us so much.”
Interim head coach Guillermo Hoyos, who has been in charge since Javier Mascherano abruptly resigned from the role, citing “personal reasons” earlier this season, was cryptic as ever when asked about Casemiro potentially joining.
“We want to see how this week ends, and then from there we have to have respective conversations,” he said, via Franco Panizo .
Given that Miami’s three allocated Designated Player roster spots are already occupied by Lionel Messi, Rodrigo De Paul, and Germán Berterame, should Casemiro sign for the Herons, he would initially likely take a major pay cut from what he had become accustomed to at United.

One option may be to have him initially sign as an International Player with an agreement to take on a DP role next season, at which point his salary could be increased. This is the path De Paul took after he initially joined on loan last summer from Atletico Madrid.
Alternatively, Casemiro may be willing to play for less than he could likely pocket elsewhere, given that it would afford him the opportunity to play alongside Messi - as is the case with Luis Suárez.
er Real Madrid star would be a major acquisition for Miami, which has struggled defensively this season, not helped by the winter exits of defensive midfielder Sergio Busquets and left back Jordi Alba following their MLS Cup win.
This season saw Casemiro rediscover some of the magic that made him a centerpiece for Madrid for eight seasons, particularly since the arrival of Michael Carrick as interim boss, leading many to call for him to extend his stay at Old Trafford.
Unfortunately for his loving fans in England, it was time for the Brazilian to move on, and it seems the sunny shores of Florida could be calling his name.
